Challenge
Dolby’s new brand identity needed to be applied consistently across hardware, marketing, and both digital and in-person immersion experiences. A unified brand system was required to maintain S-tier experiences and coordinate global marketing.
Approach
- Led a multi-disciplinary team to expand and define core brand identity through each stakeholder area of expertise
- Developed clear, comprehensive, interactive system documentation.
- Established brand guidance for all Dolby brands that included:
- Brand strategy
- Visual design
- Interface design
- A/V design
- Industrial design
- Environmental design
Impact
- Reduced brand fragmentation by consolidating design standards into one centralized system.
- Accelerated production timelines, as teams could now quickly adapt for different platforms and campaigns.
