Challenge

Dolby’s new brand identity needed to be applied consistently across hardware, marketing, and both digital and in-person immersion experiences. A unified brand system was required to maintain S-tier experiences and coordinate global marketing.

Approach

  • Led a multi-disciplinary team to expand and define core brand identity through each stakeholder area of expertise
  • Developed clear, comprehensive, interactive system documentation.
  • Established brand guidance for all Dolby brands that included:
    • Brand strategy
    • Visual design
    • Interface design
    • A/V design
    • Industrial design
    • Environmental design

Impact

  • Reduced brand fragmentation by consolidating design standards into one centralized system.
  • Accelerated production timelines, as teams could now quickly adapt for different platforms and campaigns.
  • Positioned Dolby as a consistently transformative brand in the experiential space.
